David,
Thanks for the bright green and pink Skymaster I bought from you on 23 February 2001. I took 300m/40kg line for fishing, with the transporter, built from your para-teddy plan and caught some fish around Cape Agulhas.
The kite flew like a charm, in varying conditions; even dumped in rough surf and washed over the rocks, it survived with a few broken dowels. It should easily carry 400m of 40kg line.
The transporter, which after some experimenting turned out very small, carried baits with light sinkers and returned at varying speeds. Twice it fowled and crashed the whole rig into the surf. All part of the fun.
I will let you know when I catch the legendary cob. Thanks for setting me up with the kite and the plans.
